European Commission Liaison Office
The Kosovo Media Institute (KMI) has been supported by the European Union since June 2007 in the form of a technical assistance project managed by the European Commission Liaison Office which will last until September 2011.
The aim of this EU-funded project is to contribute to the development of high editorial standards for print and broadcast media and facilitate a free, responsible and sustainable media landscape in line European best practices.
The project activities mainly include organisation of certified training programmes for journalists (also on the job training), organisation of diploma courses, further development of advocacy, media policy and networking initiatives for KMI.
The project is implemented by Consulting & Management s.r.o. in a consortium with ECJ, IREX Europe and TIMUR & partners.
Open Society Institute has been supporting the operational costs of KMI since 2007
