BBC Academy training course for KMI trainees

As part of the KMI training activities, the Institute has managed to create the link between the Diploma Course and the BBC Training Academy, probably the best training provider worldwide.

The KMI Diploma Course trainers had selected the best 2010 trainee (Ms. Mirela Dupljak) and the best 2011 trainees (Ms. Mimoza Kqiku and Mr. Behar Mustafa) and KMI awarded them with a very special prize: enrolment to the BBC Academy Training course.

The BBC Academy training arrangement (usually relatively restricted for the non-BBC participants) had been made possible by a special engagement of the KMI, who secured the best available training course for the KMI trainees. Ms. Mirela Dupljak, Ms. Mimoza Kqiku and Mr. Behar Mustafa attended ‘Writing for Television’ training course, the choice of their selection.

The training course took place in the week of August 29 at White City (London), the very centre of the BBC TV production and training.

As part of the training component, Mirela, Mimoza and Behar visited the BBC TV Production Centre and BBC Broadcasting House, iconic production, development and broadcasting centres.  During the visit, KMI trainees had a unique opportunity to get a first-hand insight into the latest developments in TV production and broadcasting technology.

The BBC Academy training was an invaluable experience for Mirela, Mimoza and Behar.

Their experience will be used in their daily practice and shared with their fellow journalists in Kosovo, for sure.
